“Maria and I are both veterans. We’ve dedicated our lives to helping our brothers and sisters become the best version of themselves.”
For Ray Perez Ray Perez and his wife Maria Maria Perez , service didn’t end when they left the military.
Ray is the national president of Groupe Car Club Groupe Car Club Official Page , one of the original East Los Angeles lowrider clubs celebrating 55 years this year. He started with Groupe’s Phoenix chapter and today oversees the club nationwide.
But some of his most important work happens away from the cars.
He and Maria are also the founders of Operation Restoring Veteran Hope ORVH , a Phoenix nonprofit helping veterans find stability, community, and hope for what comes next.
This year, their annual Veterans Healing Retreat brought together more than 100 veterans, including more than 20 from homeless veterans shelters in Phoenix. Others came from rehabilitation programs or were rebuilding their lives after incarceration.
They came from different circumstances, but Ray and Maria’s goal for each veteran is the same: remind them their story isn’t over.
The Lowrider Lawyers are proud to show up for Ray, Maria and Operation Restoring Veteran Hope as they continue to support veterans across Arizona and beyond.
