Robbins DiMonte is pleased to announce that Attorney Esteban Valtierra is one of only 40 up-and-coming bankruptcy practitioners invited to participate in the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ) 2026 Next Generation (NextGen) Program, which will take place during the NCBJ Annual Meeting in San Diego, October 7-10, 2026.

The NextGen Program annually recognizes participants who have been practicing bankruptcy law for fewer than ten years and meet stringent qualification criteria, including demonstrated legal excellence in the practice of bankruptcy law, a display of serious commitment to principles of civility, ethics, and professionalism, and demonstrated commitment to the continued educational development of bankruptcy professionals and to professional activities that will benefit the public, members of the bar, and the court system.

Luis focuses his practice on litigation matters. Prior to joining the firm, Luis built a strong legal foundation through federal judicial externships, public sector service, and private practice. His experience as a family law attorney and Judicial Extern to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, provided him with substantial courtroom experience and valuable insight into how disputes are presented, analyzed, and resolved.

Congratulations to James J. Riebandt and Dominic G. Erbacci on a successful arbitration result before the American Arbitration Association. The arbitrator issued a final award in favor of their dealership client against the claimant on all counts in a dispute arising from the sale of a Land Rover Range Rover vehicle. The claimants sought approximately $100,000 in damages under multiple federal and Illinois statutes, all of which were rejected by the arbitrator.

Esteban focuses his practice on bankruptcy and commercial litigation, with experience in Chapter 11 reorganizations, Section 363 sales, Chapter 7 liquidations, and out-of-court workouts. He brings valuable insight from his prior experience as a Judicial Law Clerk with a U.S. Bankruptcy Court, where he worked closely on a high volume of insolvency matters and the judicial decision-making process.

Esteban brings a strong understanding of how complex bankruptcy matters are analyzed and resolved, both in and out of the courtroom.
