In Chapter 13 bankruptcy, the court places the petitioner on a budget & tracks spending. If you can recognize where your money is being spent, you can also cut any unnecessary expenses to pay off debt. This means monthly subscriptions have to go. No more dining out. No more vacations. Yes, this will be challenging.

Before filing for bankruptcy, take care of necessities first: food, utilities, shelter, transportation. Make sure that taking care of yourself and family is the priority. Getting out of debt will take some effort.
