ALERTA: NUEVAS LEYES EN FLORIDA VIGENTES A PARTIR DEL 1 DE OCTUBRE DE 2026

Varias leyes nuevas ya están en vigor en Florida. Estas son cuatro que debe conocer:

HB 1293 – Fraude en Alquileres
Usar talonarios de pago falsos, estados de cuenta alterados o una identidad falsa para alquilar una vivienda ahora es un delito grave de tercer grado. Además, el arrendador puede emitir una orden de desalojo de 7 días sin oportunidad de que el inquilino corrija la falta.

SB 432 – “Ley de Meg”
Las tiendas de tabaco y v**eo ya no pueden vender ni tener óxido nitroso (“whippets”) en sus locales, y violar esta ley es un delito grave. Vender o fabricar 28 gramos o más de xilacina ahora es un delito grave de primer grado.

HB 429 – Criterios de Pertenencia a Pandillas/ Lo que se publica en internet ahora puede usarse para clasificar a una persona como miembro de una pandilla, incluido el uso de lenguaje o símbolos de pandillas en redes sociales.

HB 757 – Seguridad Escolar
Disparar un arma de fuego a menos de 1,000 pies de una escuela durante el horario escolar o en actividades escolares ahora es un delito grave de segundo grado, salvo en legítima defensa propia o de otra persona.

ALERT: NEW FLORIDA LAWS ARE NOW IN EFFECT STARTING ON OCTOBER 1ST 2026.

Several new laws are now in force in Florida. Here are four you should know about:

🏠 HB 1293 – Rental Fraud
Using fake pay stubs, bank statements or a false identity to rent a home is now a third-degree felony. Landlords can also issue a 7-day eviction notice with no chance for the tenant to fix it.

💊 SB 432 – "Meg's Law"
To***co and v**e shops can no longer sell or keep nitrous oxide ("whippets") on site, and a violation is a felony. Selling or making 28 grams or more of xylazine is now a first-degree felony.

📱 HB 429 – Gang Membership Criteria
What you post online can now be used to classify someone as a gang member, including gang-related language or symbols on social media.

🏫 HB 757 – School Safety
Firing a gun within 1,000 feet of a school during school hours or school activities is now a second-degree felony, unless it was in lawful self-defense or defense of others.
