Parent educators‼️👩🏻‍🏫👨🏽‍🏫

I encourage you to take notes on your children’s progress during or at the end of every day. Not only is it incredibly helpful, useful, and satisfying to see just how much you’ve taught and how much they've learned outside of a book... but it’s also necessary for success. Document everything you can and set learning objectives for each semester. You want to have a record of where they started, alongside learning objectives for the level you desire them to reach, while still supporting their individual pace for retention.

The biggest caveat I hear about homeschooling is time. Truly, it has to be a lifestyle. That’s not meant to sound intimidating; it just means you understand that you both must have your own community, and that the activities you participate in across your day are all opportunities for learning and discovery.

You have to be committed to teaching with patience, allowing them the space to ask questions, make mistakes, and develop.

💎”Our children must be co-pilots in training in our life, not just passengers”.

There are many styles of homeschooling, and we participate in a variety of them.

I’ll be sharing our week's progress as we complete it. Follow along, ask questions, and build community with us. Among many other things in the Kingdom, the laborers are few.

This is a small recap of day one. Total bookwork and reading were done in increments that equaled about 2 hours!

Love you all “Soil to Soul” 🫶🏽

The homeschool learning season never ceased, but our curriculum, for 1st to 2nd grade learning has officially begun! Parents it’s time to put away the tablets and get more engaged.

This isn’t just for our homeschool children. It’s for our kids who are in school, who deserve the extra support and attention around their learning.

I’ll do my best to post weekly what we are learning for the week. Please let me know if there’s any specific support I can provide. I’m happy to share any lesson plans, tools, and resources we know of and utilize.

Although we are going to be growing in reading phonics and word analysis, we won’t have step on science projects, developing math, basics, and developing comprehension and critical thinking!!

Whether you are homeschooling or providing support for your learners, it helps to create learning objectives.

Don’t be afraid to make the world your classroom or even step into theirs. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, to ask for help, or reset. You don’t have to be perfect to start.

Have a great school year Friends! 📚👩🏽‍🏫

Food insecurity is real.

What would it take to get 4 like-minded people to work with shared interest to improve food security in their family and in their community? Maybe it looks like….
1 vacant lot.
1 fence.
1 vision.
1 mission.
1 greenhouse to grow year-round.
4 Gardeners & Servants Who Care Enough to Try.

Lock In!
