SFL Founding Partner David Levine was honored to serve as keynote speaker at FIU College of Law's inaugural Student Leadership Summit last week.

The summit brought together the leadership and executive boards of FIU Law's student organizations, Law Review, Board of Advocates, Moot Court, the Student Bar Association, the Negotiation Team, and the Trial Team.

David's talk centered on building relationships and how to lean on them when it matters most. He shared lessons on leading through service and turning conflict into collaboration, skills these student leaders will need as they guide the next generation of FIU Law students into the profession.

Sanchez Fischer Levine was proud to have founding partners Alexander Fischer and David Levine attend the American Bar Association Annual Conference and American Bar Foundation Fellows events in Chicago at the end of July.

The conference brought together attorneys, judges, scholars, and legal leaders from across the country to engage in meaningful discussions about the legal profession, emerging challenges, and the future of the law. The American Bar Foundation Fellows program continues to support groundbreaking legal research and foster collaboration among distinguished members of the legal community. During the event, David and Alex had the opportunity to connect with ABF Fellows from across the country, a distinguished group that represents just 1% of licensed attorneys.

We are honored to participate in organizations that advance excellence in the legal profession and strengthen connections within the legal community.

Proud to support our community through meaningful work with Legal Aid Service of Broward County, helping individuals navigate complex legal challenges and improve access to justice. In Broward County alone, nearly 300,000 of the county's 1.9 million residents live in poverty without access to legal assistance, with just one Legal Aid attorney for every 5,600 people in need.

Through this work, SFL's Alexander Fischer volunteers his time, dedicating half-day sessions to assist individuals facing landlord-tenant disputes and debt collection issues, providing guidance during some of their most challenging moments. From protecting vulnerable populations facing fraud to serving veterans and uninsured clients, this work makes a lasting difference.

Sanchez Fischer Levine was pleased to have founding partner Alexander Fischer attend the Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Annual Meeting in Prague, where leading practitioners from around the world gathered to discuss developments affecting businesses, litigators, and in-house counsel.

The program explored several issues at the forefront of modern litigation and risk management, including the continuing evolution of personal jurisdiction, emerging trends in class action litigation across North America, the coordination of defense strategies across multiple jurisdictions, and the increasingly complex challenges facing in-house counsel as they navigate legal risk, compliance obligations, privilege concerns, and business objectives.

Set against the backdrop of Prague's historic skyline, the meeting provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with attorneys and business leaders representing a wide range of jurisdictions and legal traditions.

At Sanchez Fischer Levine, we value opportunities to stay engaged with legal developments affecting our clients and to participate in conversations that help shape the future of litigation, international disputes, and corporate risk management.

This past weekend, our team stepped away from the office and volunteered for a beach clean-up at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, helping preserve our coastline and the natural spaces that make our community special. We are proud of our team’s commitment to making a positive impact, not only through our work in the courtroom but also through service in our community.
