Congratulations to Emily Palacio and the SAP team on securing for our client a dismissal with prejudice of a claim arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.

During the case, serious concerns arose regarding the authenticity of medical evidence supporting the claim.
After formal hearing, the Claimant requested to withdraw the case without prejudice, which would have left the door open for him to pursue the claim again. Our team successfully opposed that request and obtained a dismissal with prejudice, bringing the matter to a final resolution.

Our team was able to protect our client from unnecessary and repeated litigation by carefully examining the evidence and challenging a questionable claim.

Congratulations to Gina Case, and the SAP team for successfully obtaining an Order in favor of our client in a Defense Base Act claim.

The pro se claimant, who had previously been represented by multiple attorneys, repeatedly failed to respond to requests for written discovery, including Requests for Admissions. After the Requests for Admissions were deemed admitted, the claim was dismissed with prejudice, providing our client with a final resolution and avoiding further litigation costs and exposure.
