I have extensive experience at all levels of litigation, in civil, criminal and workers’ compensation claims, having tried a significant number of jury and non-jury trials around the State, including appearances before Georgia Court of Appeals and Georgia Supreme Court. I have obtained a number of significant appellate decisions in the field of workers’ compensation that are favorable to injured w
orkers including: Davis v. Davis; Keystone Automotive v. Blackshear and Mulligan v. Selective HR Solutions, et. Other significant appellate decisions I have obtained include Warehouse Home Furnishings v. Davenport; Progressive Cas. Ins. Co. Bryant; and, Ngyuen v. State. I previously served on the Executive Committee of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the State Bar from 1999 – 2004, including serving as Chair of the Section from 2002 – 2003. I am a member of GTLA and have served on the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Claimant’s Lawyers (WCCL) Section since 1999. I currently serve on the Executive Committee of WCCL as Secretary and, as Chair of the Liaison Committee which sets the WCCL’s legislative agenda. I also serve on the Medical Committee of the Chairman’s Advisory Council, since I was first appointed in 2006. I serve as a member of the Georgia Legal Foundation, which provides legal assistance and expertise to lawyers in exceptionally important cases involving the rights of injured workers, since his selection in 2007. I am one of only 18 lawyers in the State of Georgia to have been inducted as a Fellow in the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers, and I have been selected as one of Georgia’s “Super Lawyers” beginning in 2009. I am also an active participant in Bar Activities. I served on the Executive Committee of the Macon Bar Association from 2002 – 2009, including serving as President in 2005-2006. HI am also active at the State Bar level, having served as a District Representative of the Younger Lawyer Section of the State Bar from 1992 – 1996 and as a Director of that Section from 1995 – 1996. I have been elected to serve as a representative of the Macon Judicial Circuit on the State Bar of Georgia’s Board of Governors since June, 2004.
