I listened to some insightful, motivating and soul searching words this morning which i want to share with all my facebook friends and also those friends that the ugliness and diviseness has made me question why I still am on facebook. Then I remember that each of you at some point of my life were more than whatever “facebook friends” are and meant something important to me. The years do not change that-and I would hope still are despite the differing views that we remain civil and honest in our discourse.
With that prologue, I would ask that each of you step back for ten minutes, away from all the clutter (think the kenney cheney song Noise) and listen to the words of someone far more learned and eloquent than I….then take another 10 to let it sink in to think what do these words mean and how they might help us to create a “more perfect union” and a better world. (fair warning to my Trump supporting friends…he does take some shots not at Republicans but at Trump…but there is enough wisdom in this speech that i would ask you to listen to the end).
