Founded in 1971 by David Borders, the firm quickly became known for its expertise in real estate law. David's commitment to providing personalized, efficient service at closings earned him a reputation as both a skil
led and compassionate attorney. Within a short time, he was representing numerous lenders and helping hundreds of individuals navigate the closing process with care and precision. In 1989 and 1991, David’s sons, John and Harry, joined the firm, expanding its practice into new areas of law while maintaining a steadfast focus on real estate closings. Today, the firm is made up of eight dedicated attorneys, all specializing in this crucial area of law. Our commitment to giving back is a cornerstone of our firm’s identity. We’ve volunteered countless hours with local non-profits, serving on boards and offering pro bono services to individuals and organizations across Louisville. Since the inception of Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville, we have proudly provided free legal services for every single Habitat home closing — over 600 homes to date. In recognition of our dedication, we were honored with the prestigious 2007 Governor’s Award.
