Caring for Everyone Starts with Caring for Yourself
Beginning on Mother’s Day, Women’s Health Week encourages women to prioritize both their physical and mental health. This year’s theme, “Prevention, Innovation, and Impact: A New Era in Women’s Health,” highlights the importance of proactive care, early detection, and advancements in areas such as hormonal health and disease prevention.
It’s also a meaningful reminder that caring for your health includes planning ahead and making sure your voice is heard.
So many women spend their lives caring for others, children, parents, spouses, and friends, often placing their own needs last. Taking the time to create or update an Advance Healthcare Directive and think through long-term care planning is an important way to care for yourself and the people who may one day need to make decisions on your behalf.
At Widlast Legal, we help women put their wishes into writing, so their values, preferences, and healthcare choices are clearly understood during difficult moments. These conversations are deeply personal, but they can provide clarity and guidance for loved ones when it matters most.
If you’ve been considering updating your healthcare directive or starting conversations about future care planning, Women’s Health Week is a valuable opportunity to take that first step.
