California lawmakers have passed SB 574, a first-of-its-kind bill aimed at regulating how attorneys use generative AI in legal practice.

📌 The message is clear: AI can assist lawyers, but it cannot replace professional judgment, confidentiality obligations, citation review, or attorney responsibility.

🚩 For lawyers, this is a warning sign for the entire profession.

As AI becomes part of legal research, drafting, client communication, and court filings. Now, the question is whether they are prepared to use it responsibly.
