For a decade, Marsha has been so much more than the welcoming face of our office. She is truly a bright light in our firm and has a way of bringing humor, energy, and perspective to even our busiest days. She reminds us to pause, recharge, and return to the work at hand with renewed energy. Congratulations to Gerry Giurato on securing another complete defense victory for a national brokerage firm client following a two-day final hearing. The panel found that the claimant failed to establish that the brokerage account was subject to the Electronic Funds Transfer Act (15 U.S.C. § 1693) and denied all claims in full. With four complete defense victories in the past two months for our brokerage firm clients, we’re proud to continue delivering strong results through diligent representation.

Murphy & Anderson is proud to congratulate Jennifer Braunstein on being elected to the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors, representing the Fourth Judicial Circuit in a contested election.

The YLD Board of Governors serves as the governing body of the Young Lawyers Division, working to support and advance Florida attorneys who are under 36 or within their first five years of practice. The Board oversees programming, community outreach, and professional development initiatives that help shape the next generation of Florida's legal community.

Our team brought the heat thanks to the leadership of our Chili Captains, Jennifer Braunstein and Corinne Bowden, and the many team members who came out to help serve up chili. We enjoyed connecting with colleagues in the Jacksonville legal community while serving up some great chili.

The Murphy & Anderson team has a few holiday traditions we look forward to every year. Each January, we head to the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island for our annual firm retreat. It gives us a chance us to connect outside the office, enjoy a great group dinner, and reflect on the year behind us while looking ahead to what’s next. This year, we added pickleball to the agenda—and we’re happy to report there was only one injury.
