The Hot Springs Police Department is accepting applications if you wish to serve our community.
If you are looking for an exciting and rewarding career in law enforcement, the City of Hot Springs, Arkansas is now accepting applications for police officer. We offer some of the best benefits in the state with a current entry level salary of $52,956 and yearly step increases. We also have sign on bonuses of $10,000 for certified officers and $5,000 for non-certified new hires, payable after 6 months of employment. Other great incentives include a pension retirement system (LOPFI), health insurance, up to $5,400 per year in educational incentives and certificate pay, a $2,600 per year residency incentive, a $1,200 per year uniform allowance, take home vehicles, and many more.

Deadline to submit applications is 4:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2026. The physical agility test will be administered on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 8:00 AM at DeSoto Park located at 1700 Park Avenue with written exam to follow. Applicants who pass the physical agility test will then respond to the Hot Springs Police Department, 641 Malvern Ave., and take the written exam (70% or greater to pass).
