Negotiation tip for making an offer on a home: 🏠

Some Realtors advise their clients to put a short time limit for the sellers to respond to their purchase offer.

This is not a good idea.

If the home is getting a lot of traction, you have just alienated the seller, who likely has other options who are not pressuring them.

If it’s not as popular of a home, then you’ve just needlessly pressured the seller, potentially putting them in a defensive position ahead of repair negotiations.
