There’s a time for boots, ball caps, and “I woke up like this.”
Court Appearances ain’t it. 😂

If you’ve got an upcoming appearance before a higher court, here’s your friendly reminder:

✨️ Dress like you’re going somewhere important. Because you are.
✨️ Show up early. “Traffic was crazy” is not a courtroom strategy.
✨️ Silence the phone.
✨️ Be respectful of the Judge, attorneys, staff, and everyone else.
✨️ Listen when someone is speaking — even if it's your awful ex.
✨️ Let your attorney do the talking when appropriate.
✨️ And maybe leave the flip-flops, graphic tees, and “Saturday night” outfit at home.

You don’t have to lose your personality at the courthouse—but read the room, dress the part, and act like you mean business.

The school year brings new teachers, new schedules, new activities—and sometimes a few new challenges for co-parents.

🎒 Put the kids first. School events, extracurriculars, and special moments are about your children—not the disagreements between adults.
A few reminders from your family law attorney:
📚 Know the school schedule. Make sure both parents have access to important school dates, holidays, early releases, and events.
🗓️ Review your custody order. Don’t assume the school calendar automatically matches your parenting-time schedule. And don't assume the other parent is thinking what you're thinking.
📱 Keep communication respectful and in writing!! When it comes to co-parenting, clear and calm communication can go a long way.
🖍 Keep important documents handy. Your custody order, parenting plan, and school information should be easy to access when questions come up.
