Please consider donating to Cass Community Social Services. Perhaps I have given some legal advice without charge, or you have someone who has done a favor for you who said, "pay it forward". Here is your chance. No donation is too small or large; every dollar makes a difference.
Over the last five years, Joni and I have become “all in” with CASS. Joni has joined the Board of Directors, and Bill has agreed to act as the Co-Chair for a new Capital Campaign. We want to share why we are so committed to CASS.
What we found to be unique about CASS is how they accept people where they are in life, with programs that are designed to help them on the road to self-sufficiency and break the cycle of generational poverty.
This is true with its various housing programs that address everything from warming shelters to temporary housing at their new Fox Family Center to home ownership in its nationally recognized Tiny Homes Community.
Jobs and training are also an essential part of this effort. Adults receive vocational training for “green jobs” - recycling paper, cardboard, wood, glass, and tires, installing solar arrays, and working in a car wash, which utilizes tiny amounts of water. Their kitchen’s, staffed with local employees and serves over 700,000 meals annually.
Their work in education includes Kim’s Place (named after Bill’s client), which is an accredited premier program for disabled adults, and training programs integrated into virtually every program they operate. All with the goal of helping clients get to the next level.
We have included a video clip below that provides just one example of the real impact that CASS makes every day. https://vimeo.com/776264377
The Annual Dinner is scheduled for Friday, March 15, 2024, at The Inn At St. John’s Inn, 44045 Five Mile Rd., Plymouth, MI 48170. It is their largest fundraising event of the year. If you would like to join us please send a private message. Seats are limited, but please consider making a donation to CASS by going to this link: casscommunity.org/donate/
