This is real estate, too.
A dear client recently lost her husband, and this was his beloved lake house. Going back and sorting through everything was simply too painful for her.
So I told her, I’ll do it.”
I packed, sorted, cleaned out closets, and helped get the house ready for its next chapter.
Is that in my job description? Not exactly. But after all these years in real estate, I’ve learned that the most important parts of this business often aren’t.
A home holds memories, milestones, celebrations, and loss. Sometimes my job is marketing and negotiating. And sometimes it is standing in a room with packing tape, doing what my client simply cannot do.
It is not always about the house. It’s about taking care of the people who trusted you with it.🤍
