The Saper Law immersion program was founded in 2013 by Daliah Saper, Principal Attorney at Saper Law Offices. While originally intended for recent law school graduates, the program has evolved into a weeklong camp that exposes high school and college students to the legal profession. The course takes place at Saper Law Offices and is taught by Daliah Saper and other Saper Law attorneys. The curric

ulum consists of negotiation and writing exercises, field trips to the state and federal courthouse, and mock legal proceedings. Since Saper Law practices heavily in the areas of social media and digital technology, a key component of the exercises will involve entertainment, business, and internet related legal case studies. Guest lecturers including attorneys practicing in big law firms, nonprofits, and in-house corporations will also meet with the class. Currently in its 11th year, the Saper Law Immersion Program Saper Law Immersion Program offers high school and college students the opportunity to explore legal career paths in one exciting week. The program is organized by Saper Law Offices, LLC

Today:

Christina Coleman provided an overview of immigration law (and gave each student their own pocket constitution)

Ashok Pinto and Caryn Trombino discussed what is like to work for the government. (Ashok has worked in all three branches of the federal government and Caryn is currently at the Securities and Exchange Commission )

The students enjoyed lunch along Chicago's beautiful riverfront.

David Linder, a patent attorney at Crowell & Moring LLP, hosted the students at the firm's NBC tower offices. Everyone enjoyed the views while learning about patent prosecution and litigation.

The day ended with Valerie Beck treating the students to chocolate while she explained her path from Harvard college and Harvard law school to now, chocolate entrepreneur!

We have received an overwhelming number of applications to the Saper Law Immersion Program this summer! If we are able to double the number of *qualified* applicants, I may increase the overall capacity and location of the program. (For now, we are limited to 25 students.)

SO....If your high school or college student is interested in participating, please have them apply asap. Admissions are on a rolling basis. Scholarships available.
