We just crossed 2,000 trademark clients.

And 200+ Google reviews.

Every one of those is a business that trusted us with their name.

That’s not something we take lightly.

This didn’t start as some big operation.

It was small.

Scrappy.

Figuring things out as we went.

Now we’ve helped protect thousands of brands.

Still kind of wild to think about.

Grateful for every single one. 🙏

It looks like any other email.

Then you see it’s from a law firm.

And your stomach drops.

“Stop using the name.”

“Stop selling the product.”

“Cease all activity or face legal action.” 😬

That’s a cease and desist.

And for a lot of founders, that’s the moment it clicks…

Their brand was never actually protected.

Here’s the worst part:

That email never shows up when you’re small.

It shows up when you’re growing.

When the name is everywhere.

When customers know you for it.

Now your options?

None of them are great.

Fight it.

Pay for a long, messy legal battle.

Try to negotiate.

Spend time and money you didn’t plan for.

Or rebrand.

And start all over.

The founders who never get that email didn’t just get lucky.

They filed before anyone had a reason to come after them.

If your brand isn’t protected yet… you’re rolling the dice.

If you want to know where you stand, we’ll take a look.

We’ll tell you what’s safe.

What’s not.

And what to do next.

No pressure. Just clear answers. 👍

Most founders think this:

“I came up with the name… so I own it.”

Feels right.

It’s wrong.

Trademark law doesn’t care who thought of it first.

It cares who protected it first.

That’s where people get burned.

I’ve seen businesses spend years building a brand.

Content.

Ads.

Word of mouth.

Then someone else files the trademark. 😬

Now they’re stuck proving they used it first.

Sometimes they can.

Sometimes they can’t.

And sometimes the legal fight isn’t even worth it.

Here’s the part most people miss:

Using a name is not the same as owning it.

Filing the trademark is what makes it yours.

If your name isn’t protected yet… that’s a risk.

If you want to know where you stand, we’ll take a look.

We’ll tell you what’s safe.

What’s not.

And what to do next.

No pressure. Just clear answers. 👍

Wild how many founders I talk to who are doing real money…

And still don’t own their brand.

Not because they don’t care.

They just keep pushing it.

“I’ll get to it next month”

Then next month comes

And the business is bigger

The name is more valuable

And the risk is higher

All it takes is one person filing before you

And now you’ve got a real problem 😬

Rebrand

Legal fight

Or both

None of those are fun

What’s funny is

Once people finally start the process

They always say the same thing

“That was way easier than I thought”

Yeah… that’s kind of the point

Anyway

If your brand actually matters to you

I wouldn’t keep rolling the dice on it

Staying "safe" in business is easy. It's also how you leave a lot on the table.
I recently sat down with Shahid Durrani on the Super Entrepreneurs Podcast and we got into some of the stuff that doesn't always come up in business conversations — mindset, mentorship, knowing when to push past the comfortable version of your business.

It's a conversation I think a lot of entrepreneurs will relate to, especially if you're building a service-based business and wondering what the next level actually looks like.

I've linked the full episode in the first comment 👇

Have you ever caught yourself playing it too safe in your business? I'd love to hear about it in the comments.
