"Is the Hinsdale market slowing down for fall?"
Short answer: no.
Here's what's actually happening out there:
The well-priced homes are still flying. Multiple showings, strong offers, buyers who sat out spring and are now circling like hawks.
The overpriced ones? Sitting. Just... sitting there. Every week they sit, the seller loses a little more leverage. "Testing the market" in September turns into chasing the market by November and nobody wants that hobby.
So if you're selling before the holidays, price it right on day one. The buyers are out there and they're serious. They're just not paying a premium for your optimism.
And if you're buying this might be the best window of the year. Way less competition than the spring madness, sellers who actually want to get something done, and you could be moved in before the holidays. Imagine hosting Thanksgiving in the new place. Big flex.
The fall market rewards the decisive. Both sides.
