When a loved one begins needing more support, families often hear a lot of unfamiliar titles: Care Coordinator, Social Worker, Geriatric Care Manager.

It can leave people wondering who does what and where to begin. In this episode of Elder Care Uncovered, we break down the roles each professional plays and explain how they often work together to support older adults and their families.

If you've ever felt overwhelmed trying to understand the elder care system, this conversation was made for you. Visit our Video Gallery on our website to listen in!

Every family deserves someone who understands both the healthcare system and the emotions that often come with planning for the future.

This month, we're spotlighting Erin Kelly, our Public Benefits Specialist.
Before joining Rothkoff Law Group, Erin spent more than 20 years caring for older adults in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, home care, and senior living. Those experiences continue to shape the way she supports clients today, taking the time to listen, answer questions, and help families better understand their options.

When she's not working with clients, Erin enjoys traveling, reading, cheering on Philadelphia sports teams, and spending time on the disc golf course.

We're grateful for the knowledge, compassion, and calm presence Erin brings to our team every day.

Talking about end-of-life wishes isn't easy. For many families, it's one of the conversations they hope can wait. Yet those discussions often become some of the most meaningful gifts we leave one another.

We're pleased to welcome Lisa Pahl, LCSW, APHSW-C, whose afternoon discussion, "Creative Ways to Talk About End of Life," will explore compassionate, approachable ways to begin these important conversations.

This in-person session will be held October 15 at Live! Philadelphia Casino and Hotel Event Center during the 9th Annual Rothkoff Law Group Elder Care Symposium.

Please note: This presentation is not available virtually and is for in-person attendees only.

One of the questions families ask most often is, "How do we know which senior living community is the right fit?" There isn't one answer for every family.

Organizations like Oasis Senior Advisors take the time to understand a person's care needs, preferences, and goals before helping identify senior living options that best match their situation.

We're honored to work alongside community partners who help older adults and their families make informed decisions with confidence.

Many caregivers say one of the hardest parts of dementia isn't the memory loss but when the conversations begin changing. Our newest blog explains how simple changes like using gestures, facial expressions, visual cues, and shorter phrases can help families stay connected even as communication becomes more difficult.
Sometimes understanding begins long before words do.

Discover dementia communication strategies that improve daily interactions using visual cues, gestures, and compassionate care.

Every elder law matter begins with a conversation. Sometimes that conversation follows a hospital discharge, sometimes it begins after a dementia diagnosis.
Sometimes it's simply a family asking, "What should we be thinking about now?"

Rothkoff Law Group is looking for a New Jersey Associate Attorney who wants to build relationships while helping older adults and families through important life decisions.

If you’re looking for work and collaboration that make a difference, we'd love to hear from you. Visit our Careers page on the website to learn more and to apply.
