In the Wired article I mentioned, there's a critical insight. When you raise a real legal issue with an AI bot, it gets flustered. I don't know how to handle it.
I'm from England, and we have a saying: if you want to upset something, you throw a spanner in the works. That's exactly what you do with an AI debt collector.
You don't need to trick the bot. You can't trick it. But you can throw legal wrenches into its system. Real legal issues that it wasn't programmed to handle. FDCPA violations. Validation requests. Cease and desist letters. Hearsay problems. Documentation contradictions.
These aren't tricks. These are legal rights. And when you assert them, the AI system breaks down. It doesn't have a response. It doesn't know what to do. It gets flustered.
That's your advantage. The machine might never get tired, but it also can't adapt to real legal strategy. It can't think creatively. It can't respond to sophisticated legal arguments.
Throw a spanner in the works. Raise real legal issues. Watch it fail.
You don't need to pay a lawyer thousands to win this.
