☀️ CLC enjoyed spending time with our neighbors at ResFest 2026.
Our staff, Manuel and Phil, had the opportunity to connect with community members to answer questions and share more about the Community Law Center and the work we do to support neighborhoods across Baltimore.

Events like ResFest give us a chance to have meaningful conversations, meet families and residents, and strengthen our connection with the communities we serve. We’re grateful to have been part of it! If you have an upcoming community meeting, festival, or resource fair, invite us ([email protected]).

It was a joy to get a detailed tour of the Thurgood Marshall Amenity Center, formerly PS 103. This is where U.S. Supreme Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall, attended elementary school. It's a wonderful space with plenty of history; we look forward to the additions.

Special thanks to Reverend Hathaway.

In case you missed it, CLC was in the news representing our clients who are affected by construction of the Data Science and AI Institute. Did you see our segment via WBAL-TV 11 Baltimore?

A back-and-forth contention is headed to court over the construction for the Data Science and AI Institute.

Community Law Center is currently representing client, Historic Mount Royal Terrace Association - HMRTA in opposition of the request for additional parking spaces per the development of a grocery store in .

“While the most forceful argument in favor of this project has been the necessity of a grocery store along the WNADA [West North Avenue Development Authority] corridor, the argument in favor of the increased parking is the siting next to 83,” she said, pointing out that “the residents of WNADA’s 16 neighborhoods will not use 83 to access this grocery store."

Learn more about the project and concerns of residents via the. Baltimore Brew.

The difficulty the developer claims derives from his choice to rely on “suburban land-use models developed in an era of abundant land, segregated uses and universal automobile dependence,” she argues.
