September 23, 2026 (BALTIMORE, MD) – Community Law Center (CLC) is proud to announce a slate of new members to its board of directors. The nonprofit legal services organization recently elected David Allen, Randi K. Hyatt, Cynthia Jacobs, EJ Shepard, and Kate Simms.

“As CLC marks 40 years of service, these five members strengthen our ability to stand alongside Maryland's nonprofits and neighborhoods for the next 40. Each brings a record of commitment to the communities we serve, and I'm proud to welcome them,” said Brian D. Meltzer, chair of the board.

CLC’s Board of Directors is now 20 members strong, the largest in the organization’s recent history.

Four years in a row! Community Law Center is a host site yet again for Maryland's Corps/Service Year option.

[SWIPE] This year's launch day event was at Bowie State University. This class is the largest yet and we wish all 900 of them the best, particularly our two corps members, Manuel and Zhane.

Last week, our board of directors met for their quarterly meeting. This hybrid meeting included four new board members! Look out for a formal announcement about our latest additions. Our board is the largest it's ever been.

☀️ CLC enjoyed spending time with our neighbors at ResFest 2026.
Our staff, Manuel and Phil, had the opportunity to connect with community members to answer questions and share more about the Community Law Center and the work we do to support neighborhoods across Baltimore.

Events like ResFest give us a chance to have meaningful conversations, meet families and residents, and strengthen our connection with the communities we serve.
