Harris Jones & Malone is excited that our very own Ashlie Bagwell and Caitlin McDonough were mentioned in Bryan P. Sears article, “Mineral bill heads toward a ‘chrometastic’ finish” published in Maryland Matters on March 14, 2025. The article covers the journey of David Shore’s seven-year effort to designate chromite as Maryland’s official state mineral.

Ashlie Bagwell initially met Shore to provide guidance but was so inspired by his passion that she took him on as a pro bono client. Bagwell later enlisted fellow lobbyist Caitlin McDonough to help advocate for the bill as well. The bill has gained strong support and is progressing toward bringing Maryland closer to officially recognizing chromite as its state mineral.

Spend any amount of time with David Shore and you will likely come away with an appreciation of chromite, a mineral you probably did not know existed. He's happy to correct that oversight.
