🧐HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT A.I. USAGE IN ANY PROFESSIONAL CONTEXT🧐

Yesterday, a Maryland Appellate Court ruling put an attorney under scrutiny. The court noted: "Artificial intelligence ("AI") can be a valuable tool in legal practice, but responsible use is paramount. The proliferation of fraudulent legal citations resulting from AI "hallucinations" has been a recent concern in courts nationwide. In this instance, an attorney's failure to read AI-generated citations submitted in a brief resulted in the inclusion of fictitious cases and misapplied citations. Given the severity of this conduct, the Court will refer the attorney to the Attorney Grievance Commission."

Prosecutors say he should spend more than 11 years in prison for his conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs' lawyers want him freed now, saying the long sentence sought by prosecutors is "wildly out of proportion" to the crime.
