Austin and San Antonio are live.

1,172,937 more properties with full public records

That puts us at six markets, 219 cities, and 5.7 million properties.

Texas is now three of our six markets. If you're buying, selling, or working in real estate anywhere in Austin or San Antonio, go look up a house.

Every agent has had this moment.

The listing says renovated. The file says the permit was never closed out. Both are true. Only one of them shows up eight months after closing, when your client calls you.

This isn't hidden information. It's all avaliable, sitting in a portal nobody opens.

Which market are you in? I'll pull a property and show you what comes back.

A little honesty about how this is going.

We are not developers. We've been building VeriHom anyway on nights, weekends, with a lot of trial and error.

Right now: 4.5 million properties across New York City, Chicago, Cook County, and Houston. Permits, violations, flood risk, sales history, ownership, plus more; all pulled together and scored.

This week alone we found two problems in our own Houston data and spent two days fixing them before anyone else ever saw them. That part isn't glamorous. It's most of the job.

But every time we check a property and the record shows something the listing didn't, we are reminded why we started.

A walkthrough tells you a lot. It also can't tell you any of this.

What work has actually been done to the house. Whether it was permitted. Whether the permit was ever closed out. Whether anyone came back to inspect it when the work was finished.

A renovated kitchen looks the same either way. Same countertops, same listing photos, same feeling when you walk in.

The difference only shows up in the record.

Before you make an offer on a house, there's a paper trail worth seeing.

Permits pulled — and permits that should have been pulled and weren't. Code violations. What the county assessed it at over the years. Whether it's in a flood zone.

It's scattered across a dozen county websites and departments, most of them last redesigned in 2009. And you've got about ten days to decide.

We built VeriHom to put it in one place. Millions of homes across Houston, Chicago and New York, with more coming.

Something interesting in Chicago Housing Data.

78.7% of Chicago homes were built before 1978. Houston is 33.2%. Same country, completely different housing stock.

1978 matters because that's when lead paint was banned in homes — and it's roughly where knob-and-tube wiring and galvanized plumbing stop showing up in the record.

Age isn't a problem. Not knowing the age is.

Drop a ZIP code in the comments and I'll look yours up. We're live in NYC, Chicago, Cook County, and Houston.

Most people spend more time researching a $400 appliance than they're able to spend researching the house they'll pay for over the next thirty years.

Not because they don't want to. Because the information is scattered across agencies that were never built to talk to each other.

That's never made sense to us.

VeriHom was built on a simple belief: every home has a story, and that story shouldn't be a mystery.

Permits. Liens. Violations. Flood risk. Sales history. All of it is already available. It's just buried, and written for bureaucrats instead of buyers.

Our mission is to bring transparency, trust, and confidence to homeownership by making property information easier to find and easier to understand.

Whether you're a homeowner, buyer, agent, inspector, contractor, insurance professional, appraiser, or lender — if you believe better information leads to better decisions, welcome.

This is VeriHom. Let's build a future where every home has a history you can trust.
