The National Association of Social Workers – Texas Chapter (NASW-TX) invites you to submit proposals for presentations at the NASW-TX 2027 Inaugural Symposium on Social Work in Spanish. Puentes: Where Culture Guides Practice will take place from April 15-17, 2027 in El Paso, Texas.

This inaugural symposium will bring together social workers, behavioral health professionals, educators, researchers, community leaders, students, and allied professionals from North America, Central America, South America, and beyond to explore the intersection of Spanish-language practice, culture, ethics, behavioral health, mental health, and the needs of Spanish-speaking communities.

The symposium is designed to foster collaboration, promote culturally and linguistically sensitive practice, showcase innovative approaches to intervention, and strengthen the knowledge and skills of professionals serving Spanish-speaking populations.
