Bloom Parham congratulates associate Stephen Youngblood, who serves on Gateway Center's Board of Directors, on his continued support of the nonprofit's mission to connect people experiencing homelessness with a stable, permanent home.

Stephen and his wife, Natalia, supported Gateway Center's 14th Annual Human Clay gala this month at The Foundry at Puritan Mill as Guardian-level sponsors, joined by Bloom Parham colleagues Emily Molinie and Logan Berg as his guests. The evening honored Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens with the Franklin-Hardin Award.

Bloom Parham was proud to support the Atlanta Police Foundation's annual Crime Is Toast breakfast this week at the Georgia World Congress Center, honoring the courage and service of the Atlanta Police Department.

Founding partner Simon Bloom took the stage to help present the Mounted Patrol Award to Officer Adrian Brinn, continuing Simon’s years of service on the Foundation's Board of Trustees and Executive Committee.
"Every year, this breakfast reminds all of us what the men and women of the Atlanta Police Department do for this city. Being able to help present the Mounted Patrol Award to Officer Brinn was a real honor," said Simon.

Bloom Parham's land use team continues to fight for our client Shadowbox Studios' right to build a data center on its DeKalb County property.
On September 9, the DeKalb County Zoning Board of Appeals upheld a decision blocking Shadowbox's permit, citing a countywide data center moratorium. Bloom Parham argues the County cannot rely on that moratorium against a client who received three written assurances, well before the moratorium existed, that a data center was a permitted use on the property.
Simon Bloom is leading the fight alongside Andrea Pearson and Ronnie Thompson, and the firm intends to appeal the ruling to the Superior Court of DeKalb County.

Bloom Parham is pleased to announce an appellate win for our client, Univabs Solutions Private Limited, in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
In Univabs Solutions Private Limited v. The Radiology Group, LLC, No. 26-10124, the court affirmed the district court's confirmation of an arbitration award in Univabs' favor, rejecting arguments that Georgia's arbitration statute rather than the Federal Arbitration Act should have applied, and that the arbitrator had exceeded his authority by modifying, rather than interpreting, the parties' operating agreement.
Simon Bloom led the appeal, joined by Kurt Kastorf and Pierce Ostwalt.
“We are pleased the Eleventh Circuit agreed with us on every point. From the outset of this case, appellant’s very transparent motivation has been to delay paying the money they obviously owe our client, but they have now lost before juries, arbitrators and appellate judges” — Simon H. Bloom.

Bloom Parham is pleased to announce a $274,533 judgment for a Georgia property owner after his commercial tenant tortiously interfered with the sale of his own property.
Following a bench trial, the Superior Court of Fulton County found that the tenant, through its principal, threatened and harassed a prospective buyer in an effort to derail our client's sale of the property he owns. Even though the tenant had no legal right to block the transaction, its conduct forced a renegotiation of the sale and delayed the closing for years. The court awarded our client damages and found the tenant acted in bad faith, entitling our client to attorney's fees in an amount still to be determined.
