The Arlington Bar Association will host its initial Judicial Candidates Forum to introduce candidates for 15 contested Tarrant County judicial elections on Arlington-area ballots for the November 3 general election.

Location: J Gilligan’s Bar & Grill, 400 E Abram St, Arlington, TX 76010, Tavern (west) side of the building

Date: September 24, 2026

Time: Doors open 5:30PM; Forum begins promptly at 6:00PM.

When she’s not busy helping clients with estate planning or probate, our very own Heather Scalf lends her time and talents to the Quilters’ Guild of Arlington. The group recently unveiled a large-scale commemorative quilt, titled “Stitching Our History Together,” during a special ceremony at Arlington City Hall. The quilt was recognized as a visual representation of the community, preserving tradition and promoting creativity. This award-winning quilt will be on display at the Arlington Museum of Art during its “Arlington 150: Stories of a Legacy” exhibition before being permanently displayed inside City Hall. Heather stitched and contributed 3 of the squares in the quilt.

#1 - Start conversations early. This will precent any family conflict, ensures your assets go the the right people, and reduces stress during a crisis.

#2 - Know where your important documents are kept. Keep all your documents and passwords in a safe location like a fireproof safe. Always tell your trusted family members or executor where the physical documents are kept so they can find them easily when needed.
