This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we stand with the Pueblos of Sandia, Isleta, Laguna, Acoma, and all 19 Pueblos of New Mexico, and with Indigenous peoples across the Americas, including the K’iche’, Mam, Kaqchikel, Zapotec, and Mixtec. Many Indigenous families now face an unjust U.S. immigration system imposed on them, on a continent their ancestors called home long before any border was drawn.

We see that injustice, and we’re here to walk with you, with compassion, every step of the way.

In observance, our office will be closed Monday, October 12, and will reopen Tuesday, October 13.

Your vote is your voice. Not everyone in our community can vote, which makes every vote count even more. If you’re eligible, make it heard on November 3.

En este Día de los Pueblos Indígenas, nos solidarizamos con los Pueblos de Sandia, Isleta, Laguna, Acoma y los 19 Pueblos de Nuevo México, y con los pueblos indígenas de las Américas, incluidos los K’iche’, Mam, Kaqchikel, Zapoteco y Mixteco. Hoy, muchas familias indígenas enfrentan un sistema migratorio estadounidense injusto que se les ha impuesto, en un continente que sus antepasados llamaron hogar mucho antes de que existiera cualquier frontera.

Vemos esa injusticia, y estamos aquí para acompañarles, con compasión, en cada paso del camino.

En conmemoración de este día, nuestra oficina estará cerrada el lunes 12 de octubre y reabrirá el martes 13 de octubre.

Su voto es su voz. No todos en nuestra comunidad pueden votar, por eso cada voto cuenta aún más. Si puede votar, hágala oír este 3 de noviembre.
