Understand your assets and how they will work at your death. It’s not just knowing the value, it’s knowing whether it terminates at a certain age (life insurance), if it’s pre-tax or after tax (traditional v. Roth IRA), how the death benefit works on pension plans, etc. Don’t just rely on your spouse to understand it. You both need to understand it.
