The application period for Master’s programmes in Sweden starting in Autumn 2027 is now open through the official University Admissions portal.

📅 Application deadline: 15 January 2027
If you are planning to apply for the Swedish Institute (SI) Scholarship, this is the perfect time to start preparing!

✅ Review the SI Scholarship eligibility criteria and identify programmes relevant to your future plans.

📌 Important: The list of eligible master’s programmes for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals and the Pioneering Women in STEM Scholarship for the 2027/2028 academic year is expected to be published on 13 November 2026, according to the announcement shared by SI Scholarships.

Welcoming Dr. Naomi Noor to the ISC Advisory Panel!

The International Study Council - ISC is delighted to welcome Dr. Naomi Noor to our Advisory Panel.

Dr. Naomi Noor is a Medical Doctor and Erasmus Mundus Scholar. Her journey in medicine, public health, and international education brings valuable academic and professional perspectives to the ISC community.

At ISC, Dr. Naomi Noor will contribute her experience and insights to help aspiring students explore international study opportunities, identify suitable academic programmes, prepare competitive scholarship applications, and make informed decisions about their future.

We believe that finding the right study programme is about more than securing admission or a scholarship. It is about understanding your interests, recognising your strengths, identifying the right opportunities, and building a pathway towards your long-term academic and professional goals.

Welcoming Jo Jimenez to the ISC Advisory Panel

The International Study Council - ISC is pleased to welcome Jonathan Jimenez to our Advisory Panel.

Jo Jimenez is a lawyer, researcher, law lecturer, U.S. Department of State alumnus, and Erasmus Mundus Scholar with multidisciplinary experience in human rights, migration, humanitarian law, international law, peacebuilding, and advocacy for vulnerable populations.

At ISC, Jonathan will contribute his international academic and professional perspective to support students in navigating study-abroad opportunities, scholarships, academic pathways, and informed career decisions. His experience in law, research, education, and international mobility will also strengthen ISC’s work in mentoring aspiring scholars interested in law, human rights, humanitarian studies, and related global fields.

Erasmus Mundus DEAI — Fully Funded Master’s in Data Engineering & Artificial Intelligence

🎯 Who can apply?
Applicants should normally have:
✅ A recognised Bachelor’s degree equivalent to 180 ECTS

✅ Relevant backgrounds such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or related technical disciplines
✅ English proficiency at B2 level; the programme lists IELTS Academic 5.5 among accepted evidence
✅ Final-year Bachelor’s students may also apply, subject to providing their final degree by the required deadline.

📚 Programme Structure
The programme runs for 2 years / 120 ECTS. Students study across the consortium universities and later select a third-semester specialisation, with allocation considering both student preference and academic performance. deai.ulb.be

📌 How competitive is it?
For the first DEAI intake, the programme received close to 3,000 applications, from which 25 scholarship recipients were selected—showing how important academic preparation, a strong motivation letter, relevant experience and good references can

The official website currently publishes dates for the 2026–2028 cohort. The scholarship application period for that cohort closed in January 2026. Welcoming Eboye Ruth to the ISC Advisory Panel !!

The International Study Council - ISC is delighted to welcome Eboye Ruth to our Advisory Panel !!

Ruth is a trained Pharmacologist, project and programme management professional, and Erasmus Mundus Scholar with more than six years of experience across public health, pharmaceutical operations, corporate social responsibility, community initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and humanitarian action. She has led health and community programmes reaching more than 2,000 people and has worked extensively with multidisciplinary teams and partners to translate ideas into measurable impact. At ISC, Ruth will also serve as an important focal point for students and aspiring scholars from Nigeria. Through her first-hand experience of navigating competitive international scholarships, academic applications, professional development, and studying abroad, she will support ISC in helping Nigerian students better understand their options, prepare strategically, and make informed decisions about their international education journey.
