Diyat (Blood Money) for Financial Year 2026–2027

The Federal Government of Pakistan has fixed the value of Diyat (blood money) at Rs. 19,352,390 (Rupees Nineteen Million Three Hundred Fifty-Two Thousand Three Hundred and Ninety only) for the financial year 2026–2027.

What is Diyat?

Under Pakistani law, Diyat is the prescribed financial compensation payable to the legal heirs of a victim in certain cases of homicide or bodily injury, in accordance with the provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code and the principles of Islamic law. The amount of Diyat is notified annually by the Federal Government.
