What is the Church of England Redress Scheme⁉️

👉The Church of England Redress Scheme is a national redress scheme proposed to compensate victims of church-related abuse.

👉The Church of England Redress Scheme is due to become available to survivors of physical, sexual, emotional, spiritual and psychological abuse, neglect and financial abuse with awards ranging from £5,000 to £660,000.

👉The Scheme is set to be one of the most generous compensation schemes for claims. It aims to offer financial, therapeutic, and emotional support for a wide range of abuse.

👉The scheme has now received final approval from the General Synod, but is not yet open for applications. However, you can register for the Church of England Redress Scheme before it becomes fully operational.

If you have experienced abuse or assault, you may already have support around you.

You might be working with an Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (ISVA), speaking to the police, or receiving help from a social worker or support service. That support can be incredibly important. It can help you feel heard, believed and guided through the criminal justice process.

However, when it comes to making a Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) claim, emotional support and legal representation are not the same thing.

🤖 Can AI really help you claim CICA compensation?

Artificial intelligence is everywhere right now, even in the legal world.

You might have seen tools that promise to:

✅ fill in forms for you
✅ answer legal questions instantly
✅ make the whole process “quick and easy”

For survivors of abuse or assault, that can sound really tempting. Especially when you’re already dealing with so much.

But here’s the big question…

⚠️ Can AI actually help with a Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) claim… or could it miss something important?

AI might be useful in some small ways, but when it comes to real compensation, real trauma, and strict rules, there are limits.

👉 So where does AI support stop and where do you still need real human help?

🛡️Supporting Survivors of Historic Abuse in the Carson Grimes Case

For years, Carson Grimes lived an ordinary life in plain sight. To neighbours and acquaintances, he appeared unremarkable. Behind closed doors, however, he was committing some of the most serious and devastating crimes imaginable.

His home in Luton later became known by police and survivors as a “horror house.” A place where childhoods were destroyed and lives irreversibly changed.

For decades, the actions of one man in Luton were unknown to most. To the outside world, Carson Grimes (also known as Carson Phillips) appeared to be a friendly figure. In reality, he was one of the UK’s most depraved predators, operating what victims and police eventually dubbed a "horror house."

The scale of his crimes only fully came to light due to the bravery of his survivors and the impact of the Channel 4 documentary series 24 Hours in Police Custody.

URGENT: Final Deadline for Eastwood Park Compensation Scheme Applications. Eastwood Park Compensation Scheme to Close on 14 January 2026

Contact us to learn more >>> https://abuseandassaultclaims.co.uk/eastwood-park-compensation-scheme

This is an urgent notice for all former detainees of the Eastwood Park Detention Centre.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has confirmed that the Eastwood Park Compensation Scheme will close to all new applications on Wednesday, 14 January 2026.

This is the final deadline. Any application received after this date will not be accepted or processed. We urge all eligible individuals who have not yet come forward to do so immediately.
We want to make sure no one misses out. We help people apply for compensation for free in most cases. That means you get all your compensation and you don’t pay us a penny.

Eastwood Park, Falfield, Gloucestershire, is now a closed-category prison for women, but this has not always been the case. Originally built in 1964, Eastwood Park was run by the Home Office as a Youth Offending detention centre for young boys between the ages of 14 and 17.
