Avoid your WhatsApp account being hacked by adding multi factor authentication. It is happening fairly frequently, so go to Settings/Account/Two-Step Verification/Turn On in the app. Add a 6 digit code (not your birth date!) and recovery email address. A simple two minute task to give you some peace of mind!
