Following a standout appearance on Dragons’ Den last night, Honor and Cat Black walked away with investment from all five Dragons for Maiden Cricket.🏏

We’re proud to partner with Maiden Cricket, an organisation helping to break down barriers and create more opportunities for girls in cricket.

Together, we’ve supported 20 girls through the Ambassador Rising Star programme and launched the Gateley Schools Programme, providing high-quality kit and equipment to schools and teams across the UK. From grassroots cricket and new girls’ teams to the GB Women’s Wheelchair Cricket Team, the partnership is helping more players access the game with confidence.

Now, Maiden Cricket’s founders, Honor and Cat Black and business manager Nicole Muller, are taking their mission to a national audience as they step into the Dragons’ Den.

📺 Tune in next Thursday at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer to hear their story and vision for the future of women’s cricket. We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way.

Last week marked the end of our eight part Spark Summer Sizzler series.⚡

Bringing together junior professionals from across the UK, the events took place in Belfast, Reading, London, the East Midlands, Birmingham, Manchester, Guildford and Leeds, providing a great opportunity to network, exchange ideas and build meaningful connections in a relaxed setting.

It was wonderful to see so many people taking the time to connect, collaborate and strengthen relationships.

Celebrating Pride across Leeds, Nottingham and Birmingham 🌈

Over the past few weeks, colleagues from our Leeds, Nottingham and Birmingham offices have proudly joined their local Pride celebrations, showing support for the LGBTQ+ community and helping champion inclusion in the communities where we live and work.

From taking part in the Leeds Pride parade during its landmark 20th anniversary year, to joining thousands across the city at Nottingham Pride, and celebrating at Birmingham Pride, colleagues, friends and family came together to recognise the importance of visibility, acceptance and belonging.

We’re proud to support events that champion diversity and create opportunities for people to come together, learn from one another and celebrate what makes our communities stronger.

We’re proud to be a founding member of Law Beats Cancer. 🤝

This new long-term fundraising initiative brings together the legal profession to network, raise awareness and raise funds to support cancer research. Every pound raised will support life-saving research and brings us closer to beating cancer.

Nearly 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime, a statistic that the legal sector should improve by working together.

A fantastic evening last Thursday as we welcomed guests to our summer reception at the House of Commons. ☀️

Against the magnificent backdrop of the River Thames, the event provided the perfect setting to celebrate the relationships that underpin our business, forge new connections, while reflecting on the challenges and opportunities for London and the wider business community as we look ahead to the coming months.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, despite the soaring temperatures in the capital, and helped make the evening such a memorable occasion.

On Saturday, around 50 of our colleagues took on the Peak District Ultra Challenge, tackling distances of 10 miles, 25km and, for some, an incredible 50km. ⛰️

Despite a few rainy spells, our teams remained positive, persevered through the challenge and enjoyed the stunning views the Peak District had to offer.
Their determination and team spirit were on full display from start to finish.

While there may be a few sore legs and blisters being nursed this week, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day and achieved something truly remarkable.

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part – what an achievement! 👏

Recently, 20 colleagues from our Manchester office took part in the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run in support of Dementia UK. 🏃

Thanks to the generosity of those who have donated, we have raised over £1,800 so far for Dementia UK. Thank you to everyone who donated and cheered on our runners. 👏
