Jay Ralston, partner at Murray Ralston Law, is working hard for plaintiff justice in his position as President-Elect of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA). OTLA is Ontario's only plaintiff trial lawyers association. OTLA advocates for improvements to the civil justice system and educates it near 1400 members to the highest standards of ethics and advocacy.

Murray Ralston Lawyers partner, Christine Murray, has been appointed to the Ontario Review Board. The Board is an independent tribunal established pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada and has jurisdiction over individuals who are found by a court to either be unfit to stand trial or not criminally responsible on account of mental disorder. She received her Order-in-Council this past week.
Christine will be on hearing panels that will determine whether Not Criminally Responsible individuals will remain in custody, receive conditional discharges or absolute discharges.
Christine will also continue her work as a lawyer within Murray Ralston Professional Corporation.

-reception
-scanning and organizing documents
-ensuring all documents, invoices, and reports are accurately and promptly electronically and physically filed
-sorting and forwarding mail, invoices and documents to appropriate lawyers and clerks
-correspondence and communications
-tracking timelines and deadlines
-general office administration
You will need to be computer savvy for this position and comfortable learning new programs.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a law firm as a legal assistant. However, candidates from various office backgrounds will be considered.
