Good news for the future of Wrightsville Beach.

Plans are moving forward to replace three aging bridges connecting the island to the mainland, bringing safer infrastructure, improved pedestrian and bike access, and long-term reliability for residents and visitors alike. The best part? Access to and from the beach is expected to remain open throughout construction, with at least two lanes in each direction maintained. While the project will take time, it's a significant investment in the future of one of our region's most treasured destinations. 🌊 🚲 🚗

The Town of Wrightsville Beach has clarified the approximate timeline for a bridge replacement project that will affect three bridges connecting the island to the mainland.
