Becoming a dad changed everything for me.
Before my daughter was born, I could help clients find a home. But I couldn’t feel it the way they did.
The school systems, the layout, the neighborhood.
It was all information.
Now it’s personal.
Now when a buyer tells me why a home matters to them, I get it on a level I never had before. And honestly? It makes me better at what I do.
Being a great real estate agent is how I give my daughter a life I never had access to growing up.
The better I get, the faster that happens.

I didn’t come from finance. I didn’t come from sales. I was raised by a minister and spent years studying music and working in Nashville with a high-level country artist.
For a long time I thought none of that translated.
Now I know it was the whole point.

I've been wanting to find a way to show people what Wilmington's communities actually look like from the inside, not just photos of a house but the real feel of a neighborhood. The streets, the amenities, the vibe, the stuff you can only get by actually being there. So I strapped a 360 camera to my car and started driving. 🚗

Cruising Wilmington is a new series where I take you on a real, on the ground car tour of communities and neighborhoods across the Wilmington area. No fluff, no filters. Just me behind the wheel showing you what it actually feels like to live somewhere. Because a photo of a house tells you nothing about the street it sits on. 🏡

First stop: Shinnwood West. About 50 homes, 10 minutes from Wrightsville Beach, a pool, dog park, BBQ area, walking trails, and a brand new 25 acre public park going in right next door. Only two homes sold here in the last year. People do not leave this place.

I’ll be honest: I love talking to people and I love being successful. But it wasn’t until my very first closing—helping an older couple start their retirement chapter here in Wilmington—that I realized the true weight of this job.
Real estate happens at the biggest milestones of your life. Being the person who provides stability and guidance during those high-stakes moments is a responsibility I don’t take lightly.
In my old sales jobs, I had a “window” of time with someone. In real estate, I get to build a relationship. That’s when it clicked: I’m not just selling homes; I’m helping people start their next chapter.

From Nashville hit makers to Wilmington home seekers. 🎸➡️🏠
Most people don’t know that I didn’t start out in real estate. My journey actually began in Nashville, working in the music industry as an audio engineer. I loved the creativity, but I discovered a new passion along the way: connecting with people.
In 2019, my wife and I took a leap of faith, moved to the beach, and I traded the studio for the Wilmington housing market. It was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Nobody talks about this. Your attitude toward your builder superintendent has a direct impact on the quality of your build, your inspection results, and how much flexibility you get. People skills are a negotiation strategy.
