A little rearranging, some fresh organization, and everything has its place! ✔️

I absolutely LOVE taking spaces and making them better, one project at a time! Whether it’s decorating, organizing, or giving a room a complete makeover, it’s something I truly enjoy!

🍂 What does October look like where you live?

For some of my friends, it means brilliant leaves, crisp afternoons, and pulling out a favorite sweater. Here in Coastal North Carolina, October brings golden marsh grasses, softer sunlight, refreshing breezes, and sometimes even another beautiful beach day.

My newest blog, “The Best Part of October, Wherever You Call Home,” is now live!

It’s a reminder that we don’t need a big trip or a packed calendar to enjoy the season. A walk through a favorite neighborhood, a farmers market, coffee with a friend, a scenic drive, or a few cozy touches at home can make an ordinary week feel special.

October is North Carolina Oyster Month, and living along the Carolina coast means we have some great oyster events coming our way!

Being married to Joe and into a family of Watermen, oysters have always been part of our family traditions. So grab your oyster knife and save these dates!

Oct. 16-18 - NC Oyster Festival | Ocean Isle Beach
Oysters, live music, arts and crafts, oyster shucking and eating contests, and the Oyster Stew Cook-Off!

🦪 Around here, oysters aren’t just something we eat—they’re part of our family story. ❤️

October is North Carolina Oyster Month, and this one is extra special to Joe and me. Joe comes from a family of watermen who made their living on the water, including oystering, so oysters, seafood, and coastal traditions have always been woven into our lives.

Throughout October, I’m taking you along for all things oysters! 🦪🌊 I’ll be sharing some of our family stories, where to find great local oysters, oyster festivals and specials, tips and tricks, favorite ways to eat them, recipes, and a little about what makes North Carolina oysters—and the people who harvest them—so special.

Because to me, coastal living isn’t just about where you live. It’s the people, the traditions, the salty air, the food, and the stories passed down through generations. 💙
