Thank you to our amazing team for celebrating the season together at The Varsity Club in Ventura! We enjoyed delicious food, great drinks, and a little friendly competition with simulation games like baseball, golf, and racing. ⚾⛳🏎️

It was such a refreshing break from the office — a chance to laugh, relax, and connect not just as coworkers, but as friends. Last quarter’s workshops welcomed more than 130 attendees and received excellent feedback. Each session features Mitchell Davis, Senior Assistant County Counsel for the County of Ventura, and Crista Hermance, local Estate Planning attorney and founder of Hermance Law, along with other local experts. Together, they break down the fundamentals of estate planning in a clear and approachable way, giving you the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions that protect your loved ones’ future.

Did you know…? According to the California Courts Self-Help Guide, stepchildren do not have the same inheritance rights as biological or adopted children. That means unless you specifically name them in your will or trust, they typically receive nothing.

It’s one of the biggest surprises families face — and one of the simplest to fix with the right estate plan. 📝✨
