This landmark case, the first to raise issues of crime victims’ constitutional rights before the Oklahoma Supreme Court, is now fully briefed.
The offender’s wrongfully and unlawfully entered expungement, and the prosecutor’s actions and the judge’s decision, continue to be shielded from easy public access, with the pleadings inaccessible on OSCN, so I’m sharing our Reply brief here.
Victims’ rights have not been consistently applied or enforced in this state for decades. It’s time for that to change. We’re just getting started.
