Stichter, Riedel, Blain & Postler, P.A., is a 19-lawyer firm, founded in 1974, specializing in the representation of parties in bankruptcy and insolvency matters, out-of-court workouts, complex commercial transactions, and related civil litigation. The largest segment of the firm's practice consists of the representation of corporate debtors in Chapter 11 cases. The firm's clients range from small

companies to large publicly-owned corporations. Most cases involve companies with assets, liabilities, or annual revenues in excess of $5 million, ranging in size to companies with assets and liabilities of more than $3 billion. The firm has been named by its peers as the premier mid-size business firm in the State of Florida for five consecutive years and, despite its comparatively small size, won recognition in 2014 from the Florida Supreme Court for its extraordinary provision of pro bono services over an extended period of time - the only firm so recognized that year. Elena Paras Ketchum Participates on Panel on Nuts & Bolts of bankruptcy at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Alexander L. Paskay Memorial Bankruptcy Seminar - February 21, 2023

On February 21, 2023, shareholder Elena Paras Ketchum participated in a panel presentation on the Nuts & Bolts of bankruptcy, along with co-panelists, The Honorable Roberta Colton, a judge in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida, Vincent Alexander, a partner at Lewis Brisbois in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Andrea Hartley, a shareholder at Akerman in Miami, Florida, and Ryan Yant, a shareholder at Carlton Fields in Tampa, Florida. Ms. Ketchum discussed the ins and outs of Chapter 11 cases, including issues related to traditional Chapter 11 cases and Subchapter V Chapter 11 cases.

The 2023 Best Lawyers in America ratings are out, and they recognize thirteen Stichter Riedel lawyers as Best Lawyers. Twelve SRBP lawyers were recognized in the firm’s primary area of practice, “Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law.” No other firm in the State of Florida has as many “Best Lawyers” recognized in this area.

Seven SRBP lawyers are recognized in two areas of practice: Daniel R. Fogarty, Barbara A. Hart, Stephen R. Leslie, Edward J. Peterson, and Scott Stichter are named as Best Lawyers in Bankruptcy-Litigation and Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law; Charles A. The firm also proudly announces that Edward J. Peterson is named as "Lawyer of the Year" in the field of Bankruptcy in Tampa. Individuals honored as “Lawyer of the Year” have received particularly high ratings for their professional abilities, expertise, and integrity within his or her specific practice area and geographic location. Congratulations to eight of our attorneys named as Legal Trend’s Legal Elite in the "Bankruptcy and Workout" practice area -- Michael Bachman, Russell M. Blain, Daniel R. Fogarty, Matthew Hale, Barbara A. Hart, Amy Mayer, Edward J. Peterson, and Harley E. Riedel. Mr. Riedel and Mr. Blain are also distinguished as belonging to Legal Elite's Hall of Fame. No other Florida firm had more lawyers listed in the "Legal Elite" category in the area of "Bankruptcy and Workout Law," making it the twelfth consecutive year (2010 through 2022) that SRBP has been ranked as first or tied for first in the number of Florida lawyers named in the "Bankruptcy and Workout" practice area. Each year, Florida Trend Magazine asks attorneys to name peers whom they hold in the highest regard or would recommend to others. Jodi D. Dubose, Founding Attorney of the Firm’s Northern District Office, Becomes Shareholder

Jodi Dubose joined the firm in 2015. She received her J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law, where she interned for the Honorable Lewis M. Killian, Jr., Bankruptcy Judge, Northern District of Florida. Although SRBP had maintained a strong, but geographically remote, Northern District and Panhandle presence for decades – a presence that was greatly enhanced and was expanded to Alabama with the hiring of Edward J. Peterson in 2005, Jodi’s hiring was the primary impetus for SRBP’s opening of its downtown Pensacola office. Since joining SRBP, Ms. Dubose has been instrumental in the firm’s expansion of its Northern District and Alabama practices. She actively represents debtors and other parties in insolvency cases and was chosen by the United States Trustee to serve as a Northern District Subchapter V Trustee upon the enactment of the Small Business Reorganization Act in 2019. She is a past president of the Northern District of Florida Bankruptcy Bar Association, the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association and the Young Lawyers' Division of the ESRBA. She was the Inaugural Chair of the Gulf Coast Network of the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), and also serves on IWIRC International’s Executive Board. She has served on the Executive Council of the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar since 2011, chairing its Bankruptcy/UCC Committee, Bankruptcy Judicial Liaison Committee, Annual Retreat Committee, Membership Committee, and various study groups and task forces. She has also been recognized in many independent peer review surveys as a “Rising Star,”” Super Lawyer,” and “Up and Comer.” Ms. Dubose is also the recipient of IWIRC's 2015 Rising Star Award and IWIRC Florida’s Emerging Leader Award.

Mark F. Robens Becomes Shareholder of Stichter, Riedel, Blain and Postler, P.A.

Mark joined the firm in 2014 after receiving his J.D. from the Stetson University College of Law, where he received the Alexander L. Paskay Award for excellence in bankruptcy law. While in law school, he served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Catherine Peek McEwen, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and for the Honorable Gregory Holder, Florida Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court. Mark practices out of the firm’s Tampa office while making regular appearances in bankruptcy courts and state courts around the State of Florida. He represents both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy, assignments for the benefit of creditors, and workouts. Among other recognition, he has been recognized for his pro bono work and in many independent peer review surveys as a “Rising Star” and “One to Watch.”

Super Lawyers Magazine Recognizes 14 SRBP Lawyers in Top Lists and as Super Lawyers and Rising Stars

Super Lawyers Magazine’s 2022 rankings include twelve SRBP attorneys as Super Lawyers and two of its younger lawyers as Rising Stars. Stichter Riedel is the only Florida firm with fourteen lawyers to be so honored in the area of Business Bankruptcy. In addition, Harley E. Riedel was named as the Top Lawyer in the State, and Russell M. Blain and Edward J. Peterson were named among the Top 100 lawyers of the 70,000+ active lawyers in the State of Florida across all practice areas. These rankings demonstrate the Firm’s extensive “bandwidth” that allows it to staff large and complex cases with outstanding lawyers while at the same time allowing it to offer efficiencies to clients with less complicated business issues by still staffing smaller cases with highly regarded and proficient younger lawyers.

The 2022 rankings continue a long history of excellence and accomplishment by the Firm and its lawyers. Mr. Riedel has been recognized four different years, beginning in 2011, as the Top Lawyer in the State and has been among the Top 10 lawyers in the State of Florida for thirteen consecutive years. Super Lawyers begins the process by taking nominations and then polling members of The Florida Bar. Lawyers cannot nominate or vote for themselves. It then does independent research, looking at lawyers' honors and awards, experience, representative clients, transactions, verdicts and settlements, position in the law firm, bar and/or professional activity, pro bono and community services, scholarly lectures and writings, education and employment background, and other achievements that do not fall under those categories.

After evaluation by a Blue Ribbon Panel–composed of candidates with the highest scoring from the independent research–the final selection is made in regards to small, medium and large firms.

SRBP congratulates shareholder Scott Stichter on receiving the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar’s Don Stichter Award for Outstanding Service. Previously named the Pro Bono Service Award, it was renamed in 2019 to honor Don Stichter. The award is a fitting tribute to Don’s legacy of pro bono and community service. To quote presenter Joan Boles of Bay Area Legal Service, “Giving back is not only at the core of Scott’s identity, it is also part of his DNA. He treats our clients with the utmost dignity and respect. When asked to help a client, he never says no – no questions asked. He is there for the client 1000%.” To date, Scott has volunteered to handle 57 pro bono cases through BALS and is also vital part of the TBBBA Pro Se/Pro Bono Assistance Clinic. We congratulate Scott on this wonderful accomplishment and continuing the foundation of good works in the community started by Don.

For the 20th consecutive year Stichter Riedel has received a first-tier rating for its bankruptcy and restructuring practice from Chambers and Partners. Eleven firm shareholders are individually recognized for their outstanding work. No other law firm in Florida had more than five lawyers recognized in the bankruptcy and restructuring area. Congratulations to Harley E. Riedel (one of three "star performers" in the state), Russell M. Blain (Band One), Charles A. Postler, Stephen R. Leslie, Scott A. Stichter, Edward J.
