Great news!!!
SCOTUS just issued a ruling allowing our active duty members the right to sue military defense contractors- which was historically preempted by the Feres Doctrine!
In this case, a defense contractor negligently hired a Taliban operative who carried out a su***de bomb attack at Bagram Airfield base in Afghanistan killing 5 soldiers and wounding 17 after he detonated his su***de vest on Veterans Day.
This ruling is so important for our service members, especially given the years of injustices they have experienced from the Feres Doctrine.

Tomorrow’s Oral Arguments are going to be incredible- I’m blessed to have a reserved seat to observe this monumental hearing!

I was so proud to attend swearing in ceremony both at DHS and then at the Oval Office yesterday.
couldn’t pick a better man for the job. Markwayne has been a friend for many years. And his beautiful wife Christie is Markwayne’s much better (and prettier) half!
I’m also excited to share that their exceptionally strong son (Trump had a lot of fun with him yesterday 😂 ) proposed to my niece Natalie, so we are over the moon- so happy and blessed with God’s plan! 🙏🏻💕🏆🥰 .gkelley

If you love our country and our service members, then pick up the phone and call your Senator and tell them to confirm
When I first seeked to find a champion for the I Am Vanessa Guillen Act, I looked for a Member of Congress who both served our country and cared about our service member’s rights, and of course that person was Tulsi Gabbard. Tulsi not only championed the I Am Vanessa Guillen Act Tulsi stepped up and joined our fight. She along with Markwayne Mullin co-sponsored our legislation. Tulsi is a fighter. We need someone who doesn’t back down but steps up. Our country deserves to have strong smart women like Tulsi Gabbard in leadership.

I was fortunate to spend time with President Carter, his wife and family, including his grandson. I’m sad we lost such a wonderful man. President Carter and his beautiful family are in my prayers.
