Uber is spending millions to convince California voters that personal injury attorneys are only in it for themselves. Here's what they're not telling you. 👇

They're not doing this to protect consumers. They're doing this because they're tired of paying for lawsuits. Tired of being held accountable when their drivers injure people.

If they succeed, millions of injured people in California will no longer be able to find an attorney — because without contingency fees, you need to pay a lawyer upfront. Most people can't do that.

Especially someone who is catastrophically injured and can't work.
And the narrative that attorneys just pocket settlements?

Attorney fees are governed by bar ethical rules and court rules. There is judicial oversight. A judge can review our fees. If we overcharge, we can be disbarred.
Uber knows this. They're counting on you not knowing it.

Don't let a billion dollar company take away your right to legal representation. Do the research. Share this so others can too. 👆

As a personal injury attorney, here's what I keep in my glove box and why every driver should too. 👇

✅ License, registration, and insurance — you'd be surprised how many people can't find these when they actually need them.
✅ Cell phone charger — a dead phone after an accident is a nightmare.
✅ Flashlight — accidents don't wait for daylight.
✅ Pen and paper — this one matters more than people think. You need to write down license plate numbers and witness information before people disappear. Your phone can die. Paper doesn't.
✅ First aid kit — obvious, but most people don't have one.
✅ Wheel lock — learned this from personal experience. That tire is not coming off without it.

Save this and check your glove box tonight. 📌

Road trip season is here. So is the season insurance companies make the most money on bad claims.

Summer = the highest stretch of car accidents in California — and most drivers aren't ready for what happens after.

If an accident does happen, three things — in this order:

1. Call 911. Even if it feels minor. There may be damage or injury you can't see yet, and a report protects you later.

2. Document everything. Photos of the cars, the road, the conditions, the plates. If you can't, ask a witness.

3. Don't talk to the other driver's insurance company. They will call you the moment they find out you've been in an accident — fast and friendly. That is NOT them being helpful.

Save this. And tag someone you love who's driving this summer.

Follow and stay connected. The best time to know a personal injury attorney is before you ever need one.

I named my law firm after a particle nobody has ever actually seen. Here's why.

People ask me where the name Axion Law Group came from. The truth: I wanted something different. I didn't want my name on the billboard. I didn't want my name on the door. I didn't want a name that ended with "& Associates."

One day, running in Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, it hit me.

Axion. A subatomic particle physicists believe exists — but nobody has ever directly observed. It's tiny. It's incredibly powerful. And in a way, it helps hold the universe together.

That's the firm I wanted to build. Small. Powerful. Focused entirely on getting the best results for the people I represent.

Save this — and tag someone who's building something different.

Three things lawyers say that make me laugh — even when I'm the one saying them.

3. "Let the record show." I have no idea why it sounds so official. Even funnier when a non-lawyer says it. My kids have started using it to correct me.

2. "Strike that." It literally means remove that from the record. Useful when a witness tries to outsmart you, answers your question, then keeps talking and adds commentary they shouldn't have.

1. "Come to Jesus." As in, "He needs to have a come-to-Jesus talk with his client." Loose translation: the other side is out of their mind if they think that's happening at trial.

Got any other lawyer phrases that crack you up? Drop them in the comments — I want to hear them. (And tag a lawyer who's said all three.)

"I used AI instead of hiring a lawyer." Then this happened.

I just got a call from someone who used AI to file their own personal injury lawsuit. They realized they were in over their head and asked me to take over.

Here's the hard part: I couldn't help them.

ChatGPT and AI tools are great for background knowledge — for understanding the basics of the law when you don't know where to start. But they are not a substitute for a lawyer's judgment. Most of them even say so. There's a disclaimer after every legal question telling you to talk to a lawyer.

This person didn't. They made procedural errors AI couldn't catch — errors a lawyer likely would have. Now their case is about to be thrown out of court, and there's nothing anyone can do.

Use AI to learn. Don't use it to replace the person your whole case depends on.

Did you use AI for a legal question? I'm genuinely curious — tell me in the comments.
