Mark your calendar if you are representing yourself in Family Court and are not sure how to complete the required forms! The 17th Judicial Circuit is offering a free online clinic for Pro Se (Self Represented) parties at 6 p.m. on June 3, 2026.
Information will be presented by a Florida Bar licensed attorney. The clinic will be offered via Zoom.
Subsequent clinics will be offered at 6 p.m. via Zoom on August 5th, October 7th and December 2nd as well.

This should apply to speed cameras as well which recently became a hot topic and dismissed en masse in Hillsborough county, for other grounds.

A Florida judge in Broward County has thrown out a red-light camera ticket, ruling that the state’s current enforcement system is unconstitutional because it assumes the registered owner is guilty unless they can prove otherwise. The decision centered on a Sunrise citation and argued that forcing owners to identify the actual driver shifts the burden of proof away from the government and onto citizens.

Judge Steven P. DeLuca also criticized the appeals process, noting that early hearings are handled by city-employed officers, raising concerns about bias. While the ruling currently applies directly only in Broward County, attorneys believe it could have much wider implications if upheld on appeal, potentially weakening red-light camera enforcement across Florida.
