👻 A Haunting History at Ripley’s St. Augustine
Did you know that Ripley’s Believe It or Not! in St. Augustine is housed in the historic Castle Warden Hotel?
Built in the late 1800s, the Castle Warden Hotel was once a grand symbol of luxury and elegance. But in April 1944, tragedy struck when a devastating fire tore through the building, leaving it in ruins and claiming the lives of two women.
In the years that followed, the building developed an eerie reputation. Then, in 1949, it found new life as Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum. But some say the building’s past never truly left.
According to local legends, the spirits of the two women who lost their lives in the fire may still linger within the museum. Some Ripley’s employees and visitors have reported strange occurrences, leading many to believe the historic building may be haunted.
Today, Ripley’s is more than just a collection of the strange and unusual—it’s a place where history, mystery, and the paranormal come together. Whether you’re a history buff, a thrill-seeker, or a believer in the supernatural, this iconic St. Augustine attraction has a fascinating story waiting to be discovered. 👻🏰

Craving a warm, comforting meal without all the work of layering lasagna? This Lasagna Soup is the perfect cozy recipe! 🍝✨ Packed with hearty meat, tender pasta, rich tomato flavor, Italian seasoning, and plenty of gooey cheese, it’s everything you love about lasagna in an easy, delicious bowl.
Prep Time: 5 Minutes, Cook Time: 30 Minutes, Total Time: 35 Minutes, Servings: 4 – 6 servings
Ingredients:
1 Pound ground hot or mild Italian sausage, 1 jar tomato-basil sauce, 5 cups water, divided, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, 6 uncooked lasagna noodles, broken into 2-inch pieces, ¾ cup shredded Italian cheese blend, ¾ cup of whole milk ricotta cheese, chopped fresh basil, for garnish, optional.
Directions:
Step 1, heat a large pan over medium-high. Add the sausage and cook, stirring often and breaking into small pieces, until browned, crumbled, and cooked through, 6 to 9 minutes. Adjust the heat as needed to prevent overbrowning.
Step 2, Stir in the tomato sauce. Pour ½ cup of water into the empty sauce jar, swirl to loosen any additional sauce, and add too the pan. Add the salt and remaining 4 ½ cups of water, scraping the bottom of the pot to dissolve any browned bits, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Step 3, add the lasagna noodles, reduce the heat to medium, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the noodles are cooked to al dente, 12 to 16 minutes.
Step 4, While the noodles cook, in a small bowl, stir together the Italian cheese blend and ricotta unit combined. Set aside.
Step 5, Remove the soup from the heat. Divide among 4 bowls and top evenly with dollops of the ricotta mixture. Garnish with fresh bail, if using.
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stovetop over medium-low heat, adding a little water to help loosen it.

Today, Ponce Harbor joins communities across our nation in remembering September 11, 2001 and honoring the lives that were lost that day. We remember the innocent lives taken, the brave first responders who ran toward danger, the military members who served, and the countless families and individuals forever changed. ❤️🤍💙

On this day, we pause to reflect on the strength, courage, compassion, and unity that brought people together during one of our nation’s darkest moments.
September 11, 2001 — We remember those we lost, honor those who served, and carry their memory with us. Never forgotten. 🕊️
