Homeownership doesn't grow in isolation. 🌳🏡

Juneteenth is a time to pause and reflect on what freedom means in everyday life.

While I don't have direct ties to the history of slavery in this country, I do understand, as a child of immigrants, that freedom is about having choices, opportunities, and the dignity of being seen and respected.

Freedom looks: like being able to put down roots in a community you love, children growing up with stability and safety, family and friends gathering around a dinner table. Freedom looks like having a place where memories, traditions, and dreams can take shape.

As someone who spent two decades in public health before becoming a Realtor, I've seen firsthand the beneficial connection between health and home.

Where we live affects nearly every aspect of our well-being, from our stress levels to access to clean air, nature and safe places to convene, play, walk or roll. From our access to opportunity to our ability to build wealth and pass it on to future generations.

That's one reason I'm so passionate about expanding access to homeownership.

I truly believe everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue owning a home if they choose. And this pursuit should be free of the barriers of institutional and social prejudices.

The path to homeownership doesn't happen alone. It takes families, neighbors, educators, housing counselors, lenders, community organizations, and real estate professionals all working together to create pathways that didn't always exist.

This Juneteenth, I'm reflecting on the power of home, community, and what becomes possible when more people have the opportunity to plant roots and thrive. ❤️🏡

The people who are meant for us don't ask us to be less of who we are.

One of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is the permission to stop shrinking.

To stop editing our personalities.
To stop hiding the things that make us different.
To stop trying to fit into someone else's mold.
To stop believing that belonging requires becoming someone else.

The right people don't ask us to dim our light, soften our voice, or leave parts of ourselves at the door. They make room for us to show up fully.

Whether you're celebrating Pride this month or simply learning to embrace your authentic self, know this: you deserve spaces where you are welcomed exactly as you are.

That's true in friendships, families, workplaces, and yes, even in real estate.

Love is love. ❤️

I tried this new recipe for zucchini chicken fritters with dill - it was supposed to have feta, but I used the gouda I had at home instead. Then, I was at the store and these Macrina Bakery slider buns were on the sale rack, so I turned it into a slider.

Served it next to one of my favorite Middle Eastern salads: za'atar roasted cauliflower, tossed in garlic tahini dressing, topped with sliced almonds and pomegranate seeds. (I just remembered I was supposed to drizzle pomegranate molasses on the salad. I was too hungry 😂)

This was a perfectly delicious & light dinner ❤️

(if you get rid of the bun!)

As a kid, I never understood why other kids hated spinach.

Of course, overboiled cafeteria spinach was pretty gross.

My dad made spinach very differently, and I used to beg him to make this dish. Spinach sautéed with ground beef, onions, garlic, and spices, then serve it alongside basmati rice and a garlicky yogurt sauce.

This week, I made my own version with farro and fresh spinach, and one bite took me straight back to my childhood. I couldn’t get enough!

I don't know why I don't make this more often. Maybe because when I was young and helping in the kitchen, it involved squeezing frozen spinach until my hands felt like they might fall off. 😂

Funny how some recipes are more than food. They're memories.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be over here inhaling this while tears of gratitude and nostalgia roll down my face. ❤️

If you've ever wished you could have the feel of a modern single-family home without sacrificing location, this Wallingford beauty deserves a look.

Gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows flood the home with natural light. The kitchen looks straight out of a design magazine with warm custom cabinetry, Fisher & Paykel appliances, and a center island peret for gathering. The top floor primary suite feels more like a boutique hotel than an every day bedroom. The spa-inspired bath and walk-in closet are beauty bonuses.

And then there's the rooftop deck...

Imagine ending your day with a glass of wine, watching the sun set over the Seattle skyline from your own private outdoor living room.

Come see why this home feels less like a townhouse and more like your a modern Seattle retreat. And the location is hard to beat!

Some homes you walk into and KNOW you are in Seattle. This one feels like a secret escape - to my hometown.

Tucked behind lush landscaping in the Gatewood neighborhood of West Seattle, this unassuming corner lot home wraps around a private courtyard patio that gives me major New Orleans vibes. Throw open the French doors, pour a glass of wine, turn on some twinkly lights and jazz in the background and you're transported somewhere far away from the rush of the city.

I love the decor inside - the patterened tile, the grand entry staircase, soaring ceilings, sun-filled living spaces, and all the modern upgrades (hello, glorious kitchen). You can even catch Sound views from balconies off the two spacious ensuite bedrooms. The bonus nook creates a great work from home space. This home has plenty of room to spread out, entertain, or simply enjoy a slower pace of life. ✨

If you've been searching for a home with character, warmth, and a little bit of magic, I'd love to show you this one.
