Ever heard of a qui tam lawsuit?

It's when a private citizen, often a whistleblower, sues on behalf of the federal government to go after fraud in government programs. Under the False Claims Act, they can even share in whatever gets recovered.

Last month, the Eleventh Circuit rejected a constitutional challenge to that setup, which means these suits can keep moving forward.

In their latest article, attorneys Edgar Bueno and Luckshume Ketheeswaran break down what the court decided and what it means for companies that do business with the federal government.

In the face of unimaginable tragedy, we witnessed the courage of first responders who ran toward danger and the quiet heroism of everyday people who helped one another through the darkest of days.
