Jury duty is one of the few things in American life that still puts ordinary citizens directly in charge. Not politicians. Not experts. Not algorithms. Just twelve people in a room, asked to get it right. ⚖️

HunterMaclean partners Randy Jordan and Chris Jordan have watched that process up close for decades. Between them they have tried more than 100 jury cases, including serving as co-lead counsel in Poppell v. McKesson, the first opioid lawsuit in the country brought by private citizens.

Georgia community associations, HOAs, and condominium associations are operating under new rules. 🏘️

Governor Brian Kemp recently signed the Georgia Property Owners' Bill of Rights Act into law, bringing significant changes to how associations handle fee collection, liens, and foreclosure proceedings. Notably, some provisions take effect as soon as July 1, 2026 — just a month away.

NEW: The Office of Inspector General (OIG) just made it harder to ignore a compliance risk that's been flying under the radar in the medical device industry. 🩼

In a new Advisory Opinion, the OIG found that one company's royalty payment arrangement with physician consultants crossed the line under the Anti-Kickback Statute, and the reasoning has broader implications worth paying attention to.
